How to Customize Your Inbox Site

Rename your Inbox site, set its brand color and logo, update the support contacts your senders see, and edit the headline, lead paragraph, and sections of your public landing page, all from the Inbox tab in Wire settings.

Looking for prices or review settings?

The same tab holds your prices and your review configuration. See How to Set Your Inbox Prices and How to Configure Submission Review.

Before You Begin

You must be an administrator of the Outlet or Group that operates your Inbox site, your newsroom's branded submission portal (see How Inbox Works). Members without admin permission won't see the settings described below. Ask your administrator if you're not sure which role you have.

You will need:

Instructions

Open the Inbox Tab

  1. Go to Settings (https://wire.pluckyworks.org/settings/) on Wire and select the Outlet or Group that operates your Inbox site from the sidebar.

  2. Click the Inbox tab and scroll past the price settings. The site panels appear below them: Brand Identity, then Landing page, then AI review.

Update Your Brand Identity

The Brand Identity panel controls how your site "appears to the organizations that send you press releases — in your navigation bar, your emails and your public pages."

Field Required? What to enter
Display name Required Your site's name. Changing it renames the site everywhere: navigation bar, emails, and public pages.
Brand color Optional Pick from the color swatch or type a hex value like #A72536. The sample strip below repaints as a preview, but as the form notes, it is "Preview only until you save". Click Reset to default to go back to the standard palette.
Support email Optional The address shown to senders who need help.
Support phone Optional A phone number for the same purpose.
Legal footer Optional Text that "appears at the foot of your emails and public pages."

Click Save brand identity.

Below the identity fields, the Your Logo for Inbox card shows the logo on your account today (or "No logo has been set yet"). Either control sets the same logo:

  1. Under Upload an image, choose a PNG or JPEG up to 2 MB (Plucky hosts it for you), or under Or use a web address, paste the full http:// or https:// address of a logo you already host.

  2. Click Save logo (or Replace logo if one is already set).

Edit Your Landing Page

The Landing page panel controls the public landing page of your site, the first thing a visiting business or PR rep sees. Blank fields fall back to the standard copy, so you only need to fill in what you want to change. A Preview pane on the right sketches the page as you type.

Field Required? What to enter
Headline Optional The big opening line of your landing page. A character counter shows the limit; the standard copy appears as the placeholder.
Lead paragraph Optional The paragraph under the headline.
Sections Optional Three checkboxes showing or hiding blocks of the page: How it works (the four registration and distribution steps), Feature cards, and Workspace overview. The closing call to action is always shown.

Click Save landing page settings.

What Happens Next

  • Every visitor sees your changes the next time they load your site: the landing page, the submission flow, and the emails your site sends all carry the new name, color, and logo. Senders who already have accounts see the change too.
  • A cleared field goes back to the standard copy or default palette; nothing on the public page is ever left blank.
  • All of these settings are freely reversible: save again with new values whenever you like.

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see the Brand Identity or Landing page panels: They appear only on the Inbox tab of the Outlet or Group that operates an Inbox site. Check that you selected the right Outlet or Group in the settings sidebar and that you have admin permission there. If your newsroom doesn't run an Inbox site yet, email hello@pluckyworks.org.
  • The color preview looked right but my site didn't change: The sample strip is a preview only. Click Save brand identity to apply the color everywhere.
  • My logo doesn't appear: Uploads must be PNG or JPEG up to 2 MB. A web-address logo must be the full http:// or https:// address of an image that is publicly reachable.
  • Still stuck? Email support@pluckyworks.org.
